The Ruling of Queen Elizabeth

The Author's Point of View

I have been studying English for about 10 years. I have learned a lot about the UK, its people, and its customs and traditions. The life of the British Royal family evokes great interest in the whole world. It does not matter what information I've got: over TV, in the newspapers and magazines; a respectable attitude to all members of the Royal family of the British people amazes me greatly. I ask myself a question: why is it so? And I decided to start with Mother Elizabeth as the British people tenderly name her, who had lived a long life but to the great pity of the British people she died on the 30th of March 2002.Thousands of people queing for hours came to say farewell to her. During all her long life she did a lot of things but she was never engaged in politics and never spoke about her attitude to the constitutional problems of the country. She had never done it because she was convinced that the policy wasn't the field of activity of the queen-spouse and mother-queen, who according to the traditional rules she had to be absolutely decorative personage and to play the role of a queen with great diqnity without interference into the complicated political life.
