The use of the Internet in education

   Everybody perfectly knows, what is the Internet and what opportunities it gives:
  • an easy access to the various information,
  • an opportunity of fast search of the necessary information and illustration on certain theme
  • the use of the exposed in the Internet methods and techniques on various sections of school subjects,
  • an opportunity of testing the level of knowledge,
  • remote studying,
  • participation in telecommunication competitions and guises.
But unfortunately, in teaching other subjects the Internet is used not so activity as information technologies.
   There are different methods and approaches to the use of the Internet in teaching a subject. Some teachers beforehand look for the necessary information in the Internet and then use it at the lesson as an illustrative, or demonstrative, or distributive material. Others offer children to find the necessary information, using search servers. The third use ready fine manuals in the Internet for studying the certain theme. And it's wonderful!

   The given aspect of the project is to help teachers to use the opportunities of the Internet as wide as it is possible; to show new forms and attract interest to them. It is thought, it will be interesting to everybody.
   Therefore for both children and adults there is a competition "My assistant is the Internet", where it is possible to present plans of the lessons, interesting forms of the use of the Internet, learning games, fascinating tasks.
In section "Forum" discussion will be carried out and opinions will be expressed.
The time of realization of the competition is from March, 20 till May, 5 2003.
